Genesis 1:27 says:
So God created man in His own image,
the image of God he created him;
Male and female he created them.
If there is a God, why do you say "male and female he created them"? Look a little more about Genesis 2:23-24, where God created after the woman from the rib of Adam, who reads
23 The man said:
"This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
it is "woman"
because it was made the man. "
24 Therefore shall a man leave father and mother and cleaves to his wife and they shall become one flesh. "
Clearly says that Adam and Eve are united as one. This is what God means when he uses the majority for themselves.
